About the project

Strikingly modern.
Fast and lean.

Built from the ground up utilising the @roots/sage stack with WordPress, this modern design is accompanied by the lean and specialised build.

The data structure uses ACF Pro to ensure the client has ultimate flexibility in editing their content, and it also provides a unique approach to their design by allowing us to completely customise components and blocks that suit their needs.

A grounds up approach gives us the ability to reduce plugin usage, keeping the site more secure by default and reducing the amount of client overhead required in self-maintenance.

Using Tailwind as part of the front-end tooling allowed us to easily incorporate fluid type and spacing, making the website transition seamlessly between screen sizes. This keeps the content visible, avoids broken lettering, and overflow issues. It also gives the website a "web app" feel.

Interactivity

The use of the grid lines incorporates the framing of the website. This stylistic approach creates a level of modernity and cleanliness that is also reinforced by the bold type and straight edges on graphical elements, such as the call to action buttons.

GSAP (Green Sock Animation) is used for text and all interactive animations. It is an industry standard framework that provides buttery smooth interactions and animations. In particular, we are able to use it on our accordion to create seamless and non-jittery close & expands, without introducing a lot of JavaScript overhead.

Fluidity

By using a fluid type scale and fluid scaling parameters, the website can be easily scaled between screen sizes without seeing big flashes of broken content, or overflow issues.
